Break up your day with important skincare content courtesy of Halle Berry. The actress revealed “the secret” to her healthy skin and shared a DIY two-ingredient face mask recipe.

In a video on her Instagram, Berry introduces her beautician, Olga Lorencin, and credits Lorencin with helping her keep her skin in tip-top shape. You will go through a facial treatment at home with two products from Lorencin’s skin care line. Berry says she washes her face first and notices that she uses Olga Lorencin Skin CarePurifying Gel Cleanser or Olga Lorencin Skin Care Rehydrating Cleanser when her skin feels dry to the touch. Lorencin emphasizes the importance of exfoliation in finding glowing skin, and Berry agrees that the exfoliation is of paramount importance to “relentlessly, religiously”.

After cleansing, Berry uses Olga Lorencin’s Deep Detox facial for skin care in a box, which Lorencin says helps treat congestion and even out skin tone. The home facial kit consists of three steps: an almond, phytic and salicylic acid scrub; a neutralizer; and a mask with ougon oil and charcoal. Judging from Berry’s experience, it’s strong for a home scrub. She shouted “Oh my god!” and “That’s hot!” when massaging in the neutralizer.

In case you don’t want to buy a home face kit, Berry also shared Lorencin’s instructions for a two-ingredient mask that uses ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen. The recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of whole Greek yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey with optional additives. If you have dry skin, you can add a slice of avocado and a few drops of avocado oil. If you’re acne prone, you can add powdered charcoal and / or a few drops of chlorophyll. It doesn’t get much easier than mixing honey and yogurt, and both ingredients have skin benefits. Yogurt and honey provide moisture, while yogurt is a source of lactic acid.

Back in April, Berry shared another DIY face mask for her digital wellness community, rē • spin, on her Instagram account, and found this to be one of her favorites. It “brightens, tightens, reduces fine lines, and enhances natural glow,” wrote Berry.

You need to mix four ingredients for the mask: 2 tablespoons of brewed green tea, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1/4 cup of plain yogurt.

If Berry’s stamp of approval hasn’t got you to your pantry, the benefits of each ingredient may persist. Green tea contains antioxidants that are especially effective when applied topically. Hence, it is used in skin care to combat free radical damage to your skin’s natural oils. Lemon juice brings in additional antioxidants, while turmeric is anti-inflammatory and can help whiten the skin. (Disclaimer: Make sure to stick to your measurements because turmeric can stain skin yellow and the acid in lemon juice can damage your skin, Dr. Toral Patel, a Chicago-practicing dermatologist, previously told Shape.) Finally, the DIY mask Yogurt can help relieve irritation.

If you want to copy Berry’s 4-step routine without harming their products, search your skin care product ingredient lists for lactic acid. Berry mentions in the video that she likes the ingredient because it removes dead skin cells. It’s of choice in their serum and scrub, and naturally appears in the yogurt element of their DIY recipe.

Berry seems to be full of suggestions on how to treat your skin while enjoying some self-care time. You might not even have to travel further than your kitchen to get into their latest inclusion.
