You also want your punching bag in an area where you can move around freely, so a bedroom or common room may be very limited when your workout is in full swing. Outside or in a garage, you can move around sharply without fear of harming your home or your roommates.

New boxers might be surprised to learn that there are a number of punches you can put on a punching bag, and each one uses different muscle groups for their movements. Familiarize yourself with the types of punches and boxing styles that you can follow as this will give direction to your workout. Footwork

Focus on moving around your pocket in quick and measured steps, starting more slowly if your balance requires some work. You’ll never regret a cardio session, and find that it builds your reserve in case you need it as a boxer.

Adding a punching bag to your exercise regimen has a huge impact on your cardio and strength training, and it’s just another way to sweat and get your heart rate up. Failure to properly set up your punching bag or to equip yourself with the proper wraps and gloves will make this a painful hobby that will keep you locked out of more exercise due to injury. So set up a safe boxing zone at home before jumping in.
